A Horse With No Name

Posted by Joel

I wonder if this is the only time in the history of art that a walrus was been depicted as riding a horse? The only other possible venue for such a spectacle I can think of is the old Rocky & Bullwinkle show. Did Chumley the walrus ever ride a horse while adventuring with Tennessee Tuxedo?

I just looked up Tennessee Tuxedo on wikipedia, and though this will surely be of no interest to anyone, his show has a somewhat interesting history. Apparently, it ran as a full length show at one point, but then segments were later chopped up and interspersed with other shows like Underdog and Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Of course, none of this explains why those blobs in the strip above are so politically savvy.
